Job summary

Nouryon is hiring a Process Development Engineer to join the Process Development team within Polymer Specialties Technology. You will manage R&D projects, run pilot experiments and plant trials, and help shape new production designs with a focus on safety, chemistry and technology.

The role requires a Master in Chemical Technology with substantial industry experience and excellent English. You will work in an international setting, travel as needed, and contribute to a strong knowledge base and

Qualifications

• Master degree in Chemical Technology with at least 6 years of experience in the chemical industry.
• Proficient in the English language, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Act as R&D project manager, ensuring projects are delivered in scope, on time and within budget while coordinating with R&D, manufacturing and marketing.
• Set up, plan and execute pilot experiments and plant trials, and analyze, interpret and report results.
• Contribute to projects as process development lead to ensure balance between process safety, chemistry and process technology requirements.
• Compiling process Know-how documents to embed knowledge in the organization.
• Identify new product and process opportunities and technical solutions for yield improvement, cost reduction, and emission reduction.
• Prepare conceptual designs for new or improved production lines and participate as Know-how owner in initial CAPEX design phases.
• Keep up to date with new production technologies and develop, implement and improve existing methods and techniques.
