Job summary

PLC Banen is seeking a Process Automation Controls Engineer in Zevenbergen to design, implement and maintain control, safety, monitoring, and process systems. You will help reduce energy consumption, minimize process losses, and improve product quality across a wide technical scope.

The role involves integration of systems, optimization of control loops, and hands-on system management with training responsibilities for colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master level degree in a relevant technical field.
• Several years of experience in Process Automation & Control within a production environment, preferably chemicals.
• Strong communicative skills and a proactive, team oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Integrate systems to make production processes visible and traceable.
• Optimize control loops and production processes to reduce energy use and waste.
• Initiate and define automation projects according to company standards.
• Manage parts of the systems and train colleagues in their use.
• Advise departments on process modifications and support implementation.
• Participate in and lead studies within the Management of Change process.
• Oversee implementation and maintenance of DCS components of operator training simulators.

Over de functie

Als Process Automation Controls Engineer in Zevenbergen maak je productieprocessen veiliger, efficiënter en beter inzichtelijk. Bij een industriële productieorganisatie ontwerp, implementeer en onderhoud je regel-, beveiligings-, monitoring- en controlesystemen, met aandacht voor energieverbruik, productieverlies en productkwaliteit.

Functie-inhoud

• Integreer systemen om productieprocessen inzichtelijk te maken en te volgen
• Optimaliseer control loops en productieprocessen om energieverbruik en productieverlies te beperken
• Initieer en definieer automatiseringsprojecten volgens de geldende bedrijfsstandaarden
• Beheer een deel van de systemen en train collega’s in het gebruik ervan
• Adviseer afdelingen over procesmodificaties en begeleid de implementatie
• Neem deel aan en leid studies binnen het Management of Change-proces
• Begeleid de implementatie en het onderhoud van DCS-onderdelen van operatortrainingssimulators

Functie-eisen

• Afgeronde hbo- of universitaire opleiding, bij voorkeur in Meet- en Regeltechniek en/of Chemische Technologie
• Enkele jaren ervaring met Process Automation & Control binnen een productieomgeving, bij voorkeur in de chemie
• Goede communicatieve vaardigheden en een sterk probleemoplossend vermogen
• Analytische, resultaatgerichte werkwijze en initiatief binnen een team
• Goede beheersing van Nederlands en Engels, mondeling en schriftelijk
