Job summary

SiTime Corp. is seeking an experienced software engineer to contribute to the development, deployment and support of critical engineering and manufacturing tools. You will participate in system design, own multiple modules, and interact with users to gather feedback and plan roadmaps.

Strong backend skills and a technical mindset are essential. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Python, with experience in FastAPI, APIs, databases and Docker, plus familiarity with modern development practices and

• 5+ years of professional Python backend development.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and Docker containers.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, automated docs and testing.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and system architecture.
• English fluency in written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Participation in system design and definition of the technical stack for new tools.
• Ownership over several applications or modules within the larger applications.
• Communication with the users to collect feedback, identify missing functionality and plan the roadmap.
• Providing occasional consultations and training on software development best practices and system design.

Responsibilities:

• Contribution to the development, deployment, and support of software tools for Engineering and Manufacturing
• Participation in system design and definition of the technical stack for new tools
• Ownership over several applications or modules within the larger applications
• Communication with the users to collect feedback, identify the missing functionality and plan the roadmap
• Providing occasional consultations and training on the software development best practices and system design for various engineering groups

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or another scientific or engineering discipline (Physics, Mathematics, Applied Math, Computational Physics, Mechanical Engineering or similar)
• 5+ years of professional experience in Python, with strong backend development skills (preferably FastAPI)
• Experience with the following technologies: RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, Docker containers
• Understanding software design patterns and system architecture
• Experience with modern software development practices: Git, issue trackers, CI/CD, automated documentation, automation testing, etc.
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in C++, Java, C# is an advantage
• A technical background is a strong advantage: Physics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics,
• Computational Physics, Engineering, or similar
• Experience developing engineering or data analysis applications, and familiarity with relevant libraries (such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, matplotlib, TensorFlow, or PyTorch), is a strong advantage
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, clear communication, responsibility for the overall success of the project
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment
• English fluency in written and spoken communication
