As the business grows rapidly, their frontend landscape is being rebuilt and they’re looking for a Principal Frontend Engineer to lead this transformation. The role is based in Rotterdam, with ownership over frontend-heavy applications and a key influence on shaping a modern, high-performing engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the frontend architecture and serve as the primary authority on frontend decisions, defining scalable, cohesive, and future-ready architectural standards.
• Embed AI-enhanced workflows that reduce friction, accelerate delivery, and improve team productivity across the engineering organization.
• Operate within a two-week delivery cadence, maintaining steady momentum while driving meaningful commercial impact.
• Proactively identify bottlenecks and design streamlined, efficient systems that maximize developer velocity and execution speed.
• Lead the development of headless architectures (Vue.js / Nuxt) and backend-agnostic frontends built for scalability, performance, and long-term flexibility.
