Job summary

NOWN designs and manufactures architectural products in Amsterdam. We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing facility and ensure parts are produced to exact specifications in line with engineering drawings and schedules.

You will operate press brake machinery, read blueprints, perform quality inspections with calipers and gauges, and record production data while maintaining a safe, clean workspace.

Qualifications

• MBO level diploma or equivalent required.
• Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator in manufacturing.
• Able to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Experience with calipers, angle gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Knowledge of CNC, laser cutter, and press brake machinery.
• Good physical stamina to handle heavy items.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Vocational training or apprenticeship is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal parts per work orders.
• Adjust machine settings to meet specifications.
• Perform first article and in-process quality checks.
• Read and interpret work orders and designs.
• Maintain production records and reports.
• Keep a clean and safe workspace.
• Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications.
• Troubleshoot forming issues and tooling misalignment.
• Monitor equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Handle changeovers and production variation.
