Job summary

Fokker Services Group in the Netherlands seeks a Paint & Coating Specialist responsible for preparation, application, inspection and repair of coatings on military aircraft and components. You work hands-on, follow aviation quality standards, and contribute to protecting aircraft structures against corrosion and wear.

You will collaborate with Aircraft Structure Technicians within maintenance teams in a unique Dutch Defense aviation environment.

Qualifications

A relevant technical or vocational education (LBO/MBO level) in painting, coating, surface treatment or related discipline.
Approximately 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in aviation, automotive, industrial coating or similar technical environment.
Experience with professional spray painting and surface preparation.
Knowledge of preparation techniques such as sanding, filling, degreasing and masking.
Ability to read technical drawings, instructions and documentation.
Sufficient technical English to understand aviation documentation and communicate within the working environment.
Precise, quality-focused and safety-conscious approach.
Proactive and flexible attitude with a strong sense of responsibility.

Responsibilities

Prepare and apply primer, topcoat and other protective coating systems to military aircraft and aircraft components
Inspect existing coatings and identify damage, wear, corrosion or other defects
Repair and renew paint layers, markings, decorations and lettering
Prepare surfaces by sanding, filling, cleaning, degreasing, masking and demasking
Prepare and mix paint products according to approved technical instructions
Apply coatings using professional spray equipment and hand spray guns
Perform measurements and checks, including paint viscosity and coating quality
Work according to technical drawings, maintenance documentation and applicable work instructions
Perform quality inspections on your own work and contribute to quality checks within the team
Maintain and clean spray equipment, tools and the working environment
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas on the preparation and execution of maintenance activities
Work closely with Aircraft Structure Technicians and other maintenance specialists to deliver aircraft safely and on time
