Job summary

TU Delft's Faculty of Aerospace Engineering invites applications for a two-year Postdoc position focused on the Experimental Study of Ice Formation Pathways for Contrails. You will design and execute lab experiments to understand ice nucleation under different engine exhaust conditions and contribute to validating microphysics models.

You will collaborate with researchers inside and outside the group, disseminate results through publications and presentations, and help address climate-relevant

Qualifications

• A PhD in a relevant subject such as aerospace engineering, aeronautical engineering, atmospheric sciences, or (applied) physics.
• Advanced mathematical, analytical skills and programming skills (e.g., Python).
• Keen interest in interdisciplinary research.
• Excellent command of English for an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute experimental setups to investigate ice nucleation pathways under different engine exhaust conditions.
• Collaborate with researchers inside and outside the group to strengthen the research outcome.
• Validate microphysics models for ice formation and contribute to publications and dissemination.
