Job summary

NTS Eindhoven is seeking a Planner to manage daily and medium-term production planning in a high-tech environment. You will ensure optimal scheduling, coordinate lead times and priorities with customers, and collaborate with Production Management, Purchasing, and Sales.

On the shop floor you’ll monitor progress, adjust plans as needed, and support continuous improvement. This role offers growth toward a Logistics Engineer position with broader process responsibilities.

Qualifications

• HBO level of education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field.
• Experience in a similar role within a technical production environment is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems (Navision is a big plus).
• Good Excel skills and a structured, data-driven way of working.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.

• Set up, monitor, and optimize the planning process in the ERP system for production orders.
• Plan and manage short and medium-term capacity and material supply.
• Assess, incorporate, and monitor urgent orders, including initiating changes or accelerations.
• Analyze weekly planning and advise production management on bottlenecks.

• Understand safety stocks and order quantities to improve delivery reliability.

Job description

As a Planner within the Business Unit Advanced Analytics of NTS Eindhoven, you are responsible for the daily and medium-term production planning. You ensure that all orders are optimally scheduled and accurately coordinate lead times, delivery times, and priorities with our customers in the high-tech market.

You work closely with Production Management, Purchasing, and Sales, and identify bottlenecks in material supply or capacity early on. For urgent orders, you assess the possibilities, initiate accelerations where necessary, and closely monitor progress in the ERP system.

Part of your work takes place in the heart of the operation: on the production floor, you have a good view of the daily practice, discuss progress, and can quickly adjust where necessary.

This position is an excellent first step within NTS. With the right experience and development, you may be able to grow into a role as a Logistics Engineer, where structural process improvement becomes even more central.

Furthermore, your tasks include:

• Setting up, monitoring, and optimizing the planning process in the ERP system for production orders;
• Planning and managing short and medium-term capacity and material supply;
• Assessing, incorporating, and monitoring urgent orders, including initiating changes or accelerations in the production process;
• Analyzing the weekly planning and advising production management on (un)foreseen bottlenecks;
• Identifying and resolving bottlenecks in material supply, in close consultation with Purchasing;
• Understanding logistical parameters such as safety stocks and order quantities, and identifying when these need to be adjusted to ensure or improve delivery reliability;
• Being visible and approachable on the shop floor when necessary, to quickly coordinate with operations and adjust the planning directly.

Requirements

• HBO level of education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field;
• Experience in a similar role within a technical production environment is a plus;
• Driven starters with a relevant logistics or supply chain study background are also invited to apply;
• Experience with or strong affinity for ERP systems (experience with Navision is a big plus);
• Good Excel skills and a structured, data-driven way of working;
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing;
• Resilient and customer-oriented, with enough communication skills to act as a full-fledged conversation partner towards management and colleague departments;
• Pragmatic and hands-on, with the willingness to step onto the shop floor where necessary to thoroughly understand the practice.

• Salary ranging from €3,500 to €4,000 gross per month, depending on experience and qualifications;
