  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to advance detectors and SEM technologies.

Role description

The physics groups are responsible for the development of multiple types of scanning electron microscope (SEM) columns, a wide range of detectors (charged particles and photons), application physics related to imaging and metrology semiconductor industry challenges, and basic research of underlying physics domains such as vacuum, high voltage, electromagnetic interference, light and electrons interaction with material etc..

Role involves theoretical and experimental work: Develop and use advanced simulations for the different research fields (e.g. electron beam-matter interaction, light matter interaction, magnetic and electrostatic phenomena)

Experimental laboratory work utilizing advanced in-house labs to perform basic research of novel ideas and materialize them to the level of working technology.

What you should have

PhD in experimental or applied physics (post-doc is an advantage).

Experience in laboratory work and simulations

A strong advantage would be knowledge and hands‑on experience in the following areas: High voltage physics research and applications

Voltage contrast in electron beam applications in semiconductor industry

Up to date semiconductor device physics (simulations, design, other) Development of charged particle and x-ray detectors

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.

In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
