We welcome candidates with a strong interest in developmental biology, organoidtechnology, and disease modelling. This position is part of the EU-funded Marie Curidooctoral network (VISI-ON-BRAIN) that connects different countries with theoverarching aim to develop cutting-edge human in vitro and in silico biomedical toolsto better understand the biology of brain disease/disorders (see:https://visi-onbrain.eu/ ).You will employ techniques such as organoid cultures (pluripotent stem celland tissue-derived), transcriptomic analyses, CRISPR-Cas engineering, and otherstate of-the-art tools.
We are looking for candidates that have completed their Master education and havestrong theoretical and wet lab experience, including cell culture and basic moleculartechniques. Experience with organoid culture and bioinformatic tools is a pro. We arelooking for a motivated, academic-oriented candidate that has team-working abilitiesand wants to be part of a team of enthusiastic scientists. The group and the instituteareinternationaland the work language is English. Following the MSCA mobility rule, the candidate may not have lived in the Netherlands more than 12 months in the 3yearsimmediatelybefore the recruitment date.
A temporary, full-time PhD position for a total duration of 4 years (36 hours/week), in an ambitious and dynamic team. You will initially be contracted for a period of 1 year, after which your performance will be evaluated, and the contract may be extended for the remaining years.
