Job summary

Eli Lilly is investing in a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Katwijk, Netherlands. The Process Automation Area Lead provides automation support for manufacturing, ensuring reliability, compliance, and continuous performance of the SDD process automation systems from startup through steady-state operations.

Integrated into the global automation team during project delivery, the role will transition to a site-based process team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related science field.
7+ years in automation in pharma or regulated industry.
Knowledge of GMPs, regulatory requirements, and computer system validation.
Experience with Rockwell Automation platforms including FactoryTalk View SE distributed and PLCs or similar automation technologies.
Fluency in English; Dutch preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, install, and qualify SDD process automation systems.
Lead integration of automation systems into site data collection and IT systems.
Manage automation system security and data integrity.
Lead the management and growth of automation systems as new process equipment is added.
Partner with Global Automation for data programs and cyber security.
Develop site procedures that govern process automation systems.
Support spray drying in the unit operations it will support.
