Job summary

Start People in Rotterdam zoekt een logistiek medewerker voor een parcel sorting centre. Je werkt afwisselend in avond- en nachtdiensten en bent verantwoordelijk voor het correct sorteren en afleveren van pakketten. Het werk is fysiek veeleisend en vereist samenwerking met collega’s.

Je hebt een betalingsbereidheid en bent bereid langere dagen te werken. Start People biedt een tijdelijk contract tot het eind van het jaar met kans op verlenging en reiskostenvergoeding.

Vacaturebeschrijving Wat je gaat doen As a Logistics Employee, you will work at a parcel sorting centre in Rotterdam. Every day, large numbers of parcels and goods arrive at the centre. Your job is to make sure they reach the right place. You will work one week on the evening shift and the next week on the night shift. You will be active throughout your shift and work closely with your colleagues. The job can be physically demanding. Together, you make sure all parcels are processed on time. The sorting centre is located on Spaanse Polder in Rotterdam. You must speak either Dutch or English. It is important that you are reliable and willing to work hard.

Your main tasks:

• Loading and unloading trucks.
• Sorting parcels by destination.
• Scanning parcels using a handheld scanner.
• Moving goods around the warehouse.
• Placing parcels in the correct location.
• Keeping your workplace clean and safe.
• Working with your colleagues to make sure all tasks are completed on time.

Wat we je bieden

• An hourly wage of €14.99, which can increase to €16.68 including shift allowances.
• A temporary contract until the end of the year, with the possibility of an extension if you perform well.
• A full-time job of 40 hours per week. You alternate between evening shifts from 4:00 PM to midnight and night shifts from midnight to 8:00 AM.
• Travel allowance for commuting to work.

Over het bedrijf

You will work for an international logistics company in Rotterdam. The sorting centre processes large numbers of parcels every day. These parcels are sent to destinations in the Netherlands and abroad. Processing them quickly and correctly is an important part of the job.You will work as part of a team. Everyone helps make sure the parcels are processed on time. You will receive instructions and learn how to work safely. The workplace is busy, and you will be active throughout your shift.
