The first container of the day is ready. Together with your colleagues, you review the pallet configuration and start carefully stacking boxes and bags. This is not just any job, because how you build these pallets determines whether products arrive safely and neatly in the warehouse. In this role as a Stevedore, it's all about speed, insight, and physical strength. Are you that go-getter who pays attention to quality while keeping up the pace? Then read on.
This international trading organization in the Oss region specializes in authentic Asian food products. The demand for their products continues to grow, as does the warehouse. The organization strongly focuses on quality and commitment. An approach that pays off in a close‑knit team with colleagues who have often been involved for many years. Every day, they ensure a smooth and efficient logistics process, with attention to detail and a long‑term vision.
As a Stevedore, you are responsible for correctly stacking goods on pallets. You will receive container information and pallet configurations from the Products Assistants. Based on this, you and your colleagues will determine how the boxes and bags should be placed. In doing so, you pay attention to packaging, expiration dates (THT), and deviations in the cargo.
The combination of physical strength and accuracy is essential. Lifting bags up to 25 kilos or frequently bending and working above your head are part of your daily tasks. The workload can be high, especially during peak times. Initially, you will work full days to get accustomed to the pace and working methods. Once you have mastered this, your workday may be shorter, but you will still be paid.
When it's quiet, you assist with unloading goods or keeping the warehouse tidy. Flexibility and collegiality are valued here.
