Job summary

Wiertz Company in Maastricht, Netherlands, seeks a Packaging Operator to ensure smooth operation of flowpack, checkweigher, metal detector, cartoning and labeling lines. You will manage frequent packaging changes for different customers, follow specifications, and perform quality checks every 30 minutes to prevent recalls.

Engage in immediate action on deviations, communicate with bakery and packing departments, and maintain technical vigilance to avoid packaging errors and recalls.

Qualifications

• Experience as operator or in food industry (preferred).
• Eagerness to learn & adapt.
• Dutch or English communication skills.
• EPT/forklift certificate is a plus (can be obtained later).
• Own transport required.

What will you do?
As a Packaging Operator, you will ensure that our flowpack, checkweigher, metal detector, cartoning, and labeling machines run smoothly and efficiently. You'll manage frequent packaging changes for different customers, follow line specifications precisely, and perform quality checks every 30 minutes. You take immediate action if there are deviations in quality, weight, or packaging, and you communicate with the bakery and packing departments to solve issues. Technical insight, accuracy, and vigilance are essential in this role- because delivering the wrong packaging, date code, or weight can lead to serious recalls.
