PROBAT is seeking a Packaging & Shipping Employee in Koog aan de Zaan to ensure accurate, safe, and timely handling of outbound goods. You will pick, pack, secure, and prepare shipments, while supporting inbound flows and spare parts logistics.

The role reports to the Expedition Coordinator and Team Leader Warehouse & Expedition, with a team of 12 across three logistics areas. Strong technical packing knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• MBO level 3 qualification in Logistics, Export, or a related field.
• Valid VCA certificate.
• Certified to operate forklift and reach truck.
• Familiar with ERP systems and logistics processes.
• Strong Dutch communication; English a plus.
• Structured, calm under pressure, team-oriented.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, pack, and coordinate shipment handling for projects and spare parts.
• Pack, prepare spare parts orders for shipment per customer/quality rules.
• Load and move machines and parts using appropriate equipment.
• Prepare and check shipping documents like packing lists and CMRs.
• Monitor progress and quality of outbound flows according to planning.
• Maintain a clean, organized expedition/logistics workspace.
• Follow safety, environmental, health & safety, and quality regulations.
• Identify improvements and help optimize logistics processes.

Your Responsibilities

As a Packaging & Shipping Employee, you are responsible for the accurate, safe, timely, and high-quality handling of completed projects and other outbound goods. You ensure that machines and parts are picked, packaged, secured, processed administratively, and prepared for shipment in line with customer, transportation, and quality requirements.
This role requires strong technical insight. You understand how large, valuable machines should be safely packed, supported, and transported to prevent damage during transit. In addition, you support incoming goods flows and assist with the logistical processing of spare parts.

Position within the organization: Reports to the Expedition Coordinator and/or Team Leader Warehouse & Expedition
Team size: 12 colleagues across three logistics areas

• Preparing, packing, and coordinating the logistical handling of project-related shipments.
• Collecting, packing, and preparing spare parts orders for shipment in line with customer and quality requirements.
• Loading, moving, and preparing machines, parts, and other materials for transport using the appropriate equipment.
• Preparing, checking, and processing shipping documentation, including packing lists, CMR consignment notes, and other transport-related documents.
• Monitoring progress, priorities, and quality of outbound flows in line with the planning.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient expedition and logistics workspace.
• Working in accordance with all safety, environmental, health & safety, and quality regulations.
• Identifying improvement opportunities and actively contributing to optimizing logistics processes and ways of working.

Your Profile

• An MBO level 3 qualification in Logistics, Export, or a related field
• In possession of a valid VCA certificate
• Certified to operate a forklift and reach truck
• Familiar with logistics production processes and ERP systems
• You have a good technical understanding and know how to package and transport machines safely.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Dutch; English is a plus
• You work in a structured way, remain calm under pressure, and are a team player
• Service- and customer-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working across different disciplines
• Motivated and eager to grow and develop within the company
