Job summary

Royal FloraHolland zoekt een gemotiveerde medewerker voor de ochtendshift. Je start om 06:00 uur en zorgt ervoor dat orders tijdig wereldwijd vervoerd kunnen worden. Je bestuurt een elektrische vrachtwagen in het magazijn, laadt bloemen op de wagens en werkt samen met een team van circa 250 collega’s aan efficiënte verzending.

Het werk vereist fysieke inzet, beschikbaarheid voor minstens 7 maanden en een minimale lengte van 1,65 m. Een VOG kan gevraagd worden en wordt vergoed.

Qualifications

• Fysiek fit zijn en geen problemen met het tillen van emmers met bloemen.
• In staat zijn om ons logistiek centrum in Aalsmeer te bereiken voor 06:00 uur.
• Minimaal 1,65 m lang zodat topstellingen bereikbaar zijn.
• Beschikbaar op minstens 3 doordeweekse ochtenden, inclusief maandag en/of vrijdag.
• Beschikbaar voor minimaal 7 maanden.
• Leeftijd 18 jaar of ouder.
• Spreekt Engels of Nederlands op conversational niveau of hoger.
• Woonachtig in Nederland met de benodigde arbeidspapieren.
• In staat om een VOG te leveren; kosten worden vergoed.
• Flexibele, deeltijdse ochtenddienst: van 06:00 tot ongeveer 21 uur per week.

Responsibilities

• Bezorgt de bestellingen en bereidt ze voor in ons magazijn.
• Rijdt met een elektrische kar naar de aangewezen locatie binnen het magazijn.
• Loften de bloemen op de kar en zorgt dat deze gereed is voor verzending.
• Werk mee aan overige taken zoals beheer van winkelwagens en het afvoeren van volle wagens.

After the flower auctions kicks off at 06:00 a.m., you will make sure that all orders can be transported all over the world by noon. In order to do so, you'll operate a small, electric truck and prepare orders throughout our warehouse. Of course, you will not need to do this all by yourself: You will work together with a fun and diverse team of around 250 co-workers! Your work includes the following tasks:

• Your shift starts at 06:00, after which you pick up a full cart. This cart needs to be distributed to our customers’ orders;
• Your headset will tell you where to deliver the ordered flowers;
• Using your electric truck (no license required), you drive to the specified location in our warehouse;
• You lift the ordered flower(s) onto the customer’s cart. Once full, this cart is ready for further shipment;
• Various other tasks (such as managing customer carts or taking away full ones).

Preparing and lifting orders is physical activity: This position offers a unique morning workout! We start when the auction kicks off at 06:00 a.m. to make sure we can meet our commitments to our buyers. No logistic experience yet? No worries, we will show you exactly how to perform your tasks. We ask the following from you:

• You’re physically fit and have no trouble lifting buckets of flowers;
• You’re able to reach our logistic center in Aalsmeer by 06:00 a.m.;
• You’re at least 1,65m (5’5”ft) tall, so you can reach even the top shelves;
• You're available on at least 3 weekday mornings, including a Monday and/or Friday;
• You're available to work at least 7 months;
• You’re at least 18 years old;
• You speak English or Dutch at conversational level or higher;
• You live in the Netherlands and have the necessary documentation that allows you to work here;
• You’re able to deliver a VOG (certificate of conduct), we will compensate the costs.
• A flexible, part-time job on weekday mornings: the afternoon is yours!;
• A flexible, on-call contract or a contract with fixed number of hours per week (12-21 hours);
• An hourly wage of €16,60 bruto;
• A working day of 4,2 hours on average (5 workdays average 21 hours per week);
• Travel compensation of €0,23 as well as a vacation bonus;
• A plant to take home 5 times a year.
