Job summary

Royal Smilde in Edam is seeking an Operator to set up and operate production machines for cake bases, apple turnovers and sausage rolls, ensuring perfect output from the line. You will join a friendly, family‑owned producer with a long history and room to grow your skills.

This role requires an MBO level qualification, the ability to work in three shifts, and fluency in Dutch or English. The company offers a competitive salary, travel allowance, and ample training opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety regulations and quality standards; participate in training to stay updated.
• Identify and resolve malfunctions and collaborate with colleagues or maintenance to restore production.

This is what you will do

• Setting up and operating production machines: You accurately set up machines according to production specifications and ensure they run safely and efficiently. Small adjustments? No problem - you keep the production process running smoothly.
• Checking raw materials and supplies: You inspect incoming materials for quality and quantity, prepare them correctly for production, and report any deviations or shortages in time
• Contributing to quality and safety: You work according to all safety regulations, help achieve quality standards, and identify opportunities for improvement. You actively participate in training sessions and instructions to keep your knowledge up to date.
• Identifying and resolving malfunctions: You quickly detect issues or irregularities in the production process and take immediate action where possible. For more complex malfunctions, you collaborate with colleagues or the technical department to get production back on track as soon as possible.

What we offer

• Salary up to €3,300 gross per month (depending on experience, based on 37.5 hours)
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per km (from 10 km)
• 187.5 vacation hours + 5 ADV hours per year
