Braintrust is seeking a remote CFD expert with strong OpenFOAM experience to review engineering datasets and annotate CFD results. The role supports AI model training and evaluation for a leading AI lab. You will work a project-based, freelance schedule with roughly 15–20 hours per week.

Ideal candidates will have five+ years in CFD, proficiency with OpenFOAM across multiple domains, and the ability to work independently on simulation projects in a remote setup.

Your final hourly rate will be chosen by our client and determined by your location.
We’re looking for a freelancer with strong expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and OpenFOAM, ideally with experience applying the software across different industries and engineering applications.
You will review and annotate engineering datasets focused on OpenFOAM, applying your CFD expertise to assess technical accuracy and explain corrections.
Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with OpenFOAM across multiple contexts or domains.
• Knowledge of CFD simulation and analysis.
• Good understanding of general-purpose meshing software and workflows.
• Ability to work independently on engineering simulation projects.
• At least five years of relevant experience in CFD or closely related engineering simulation work.

Engagement: 15–20 hours/week
