Job summary

Erasmus University Rotterdam is conducting a six-month diagnostic project on Open Research Information (ORI). The role will assess OpenAlex/OpenAIRE and proprietary databases (Dimensions, Scopus, Web of Science) against EUR’s PURE for research management and decision-making.

You will work within the ERS on a structured readiness framework, reporting findings and supporting management with evidence-based conclusions. Start 5 October 2026, campus Woudestein, 1 FTE.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Strong quantitative data handling and analytical skills.
• Experience with data cleaning, matching, and analysis.
• Affinity with bibliometrics, research information, or open science is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document open databases (OpenAlex/OpenAIRE) vs proprietary databases (Dimensions/Scopus/Web of Science).
• Conduct structured comparisons with Pure for Erasmus MC and RSM.
• Identify metadata gaps and workflow implications.
• Populate the readiness framework with evidence-based findings.
• Summarise findings to support management advice phase.
