Airbus Netherlands B.V. in Leiden is seeking an On Site Galileo 2nd Generation Navigation Signal Engineer to contribute to the design, analysis and verification of next‑gen GNSS signals.

You will work within the Customer Integrated Team at ESTEC, applying your expertise to signal-in-space concepts and receiver algorithms. The role requires a Master’s in navigation or electrical engineering, 2+ years in space projects, strong MATLAB/Python/C/C++, and excellent English.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Navigation, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in space projects, ideally Galileo or GNSS.
  • Strong knowledge of GNSS signal analysis, CDMA modulation, and navigation receiver algorithms.

Responsibilities

  • Support Galileo system design evolutions regarding navigation signals and receiver aspects.
  • Define, implement and maintain signal performance analysis tools.
  • Perform simulations and trade-off analyses on signal generation and navigation message dissemination.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on receiver acquisition, tracking, and PVT processing.
  • Plan and conduct laboratory experiments and field verification campaigns.
  • Monitor SIS implementation across satellite, ground, and user segments.
  • Present technical results to national and international customers and partners.

We are seeking a skilled On Site Galileo 2nd Generation Navigation Signal Engineer to join our Customer Integrated Team at the ESTEC premises . As part of our expert team, you will contribute directly to the implementation and verification of the next generation of Galileo navigation signals, working alongside industry leaders with over 25 years of experience in Galileo systems.Your RoleAs a key contributor to the Galileo 2nd Generation (G2G) System team, you will ensure the flawless performance of the navigation signal-in-space.
