The International Criminal Court in The Hague seeks a Witness Assistant on an on-call, short-term basis to support witnesses before the Court. The role requires handling sensitive information with discretion and providing comprehensive practical support to witnesses throughout their stay in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities include welcome briefings, escort duties, and coordination of witness-related activities, with 24/7 on-call availability and a background in public service or related fields

Formación

• Completion of secondary education.
• Minimum four years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of French desirable; Dutch an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in preparation activities for the arrival of witnesses in the Netherlands.
• Provide welcome briefing to witnesses arriving to testify before the Court.
• Carry out entry/exit procedures of witnesses to and from the Court following ICC procedures.
• Escort witnesses in the ICC premises and during transportation.
• Administer witness surveys and questionnaires; maintain witness-related records.
• Monitor vulnerable witnesses and provide 24/7 roving support as required.
• Perform other duties as instructed by the Team Leader and VWS Management.
