Job summary

FairPlay Engineering BV is seeking an Offshore Pipeline Designer to support the development of offshore pipeline and subsea design projects. You will create high-quality 2D drawings and 3D models for FEED, detailed engineering, installation and operations support.

Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to translate design requirements into practical solutions while ensuring compliance with standards such as DNV, API and ISO.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Engineering Design, Mechanical, Civil or related field.
• 3+ years in offshore pipeline or subsea design.
• Experience with FEED and detailed engineering projects.
• Familiar with offshore pipelines, subsea structures, risers and installation.
• Experience in multidisciplinary offshore environments.
• Experience in offshore oil & gas, CCUS or offshore energy is a plus.
• AutoCAD; Civil 3D is highly desirable.
• Proficient in 3D modelling software.
• Knowledge of routing and installation principles.
• Familiar with GIS/route development tools and standards (DNV/API/ISO).

Responsibilities

• Develop routing drawings, alignment sheets and installation drawings.
• Produce 2D/3D design deliverables for offshore pipelines and subsea infrastructure.
• Prepare general arrangement drawings, crossings and tie-ins.
• Support seabed routing and corridor development.
• Integrate survey, geotechnical and installation data into designs.
• Collaborate with pipeline engineers to convert calculations into practical designs.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP workshops.
• Maintain project documentation and drawing registers.

Company information

The Offshore Pipeline & Subsea team provides engineering and design support for a wide range of offshore developments. The team is responsible for the design and delivery of offshore pipeline systems, subsea infrastructure and installation solutions for both FEED and detailed engineering projects.

Working closely with pipeline engineers, subsea specialists, structural engineers and project delivery teams, the department develops routing layouts, installation drawings, subsea tie-ins, crossing designs and 3D models that support the successful execution of offshore projects.

What do you need

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Design, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in offshore pipeline or subsea design.
• Experience supporting FEED and detailed engineering projects.
• Familiarity with offshore pipeline systems, subsea structures, risers and installation methodologies.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary offshore engineering environments.
• Experience within offshore oil & gas, carbon capture, hydrogen or offshore energy projects is advantageous.
• AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience is highly desirable).
• Experience with 3D modelling software.
• Understanding of offshore pipeline routing and installation principles.
• Knowledge of subsea developments, pipeline crossings and tie-in design.
• Familiarity with GIS or route development tools is advantageous.
• Knowledge of international standards such as DNV, API and ISO.
