Job summary

SBM Offshore, headquartered in Amsterdam, seeks an Offshore GP Operator to perform deck maintenance, rigging, sling/hoist operations, and safety-conscious shipboard duties. You will ensure loads are prepared, secured, and moved safely while adhering to health and safety standards.

The role requires STCW certifications, 2+ years of offshore deck experience, English proficiency, and medical fitness for offshore work.

Qualifications

• STCW certifications (AII/5 and AII/4) are mandatory
• Over 2 years’ deck experience offshore/shipping industries
• Rigging and lifting certification is required
• English proficiency at CEFR A2 level or higher
• Medical fitness to work offshore per company standards

Responsibilities

• Execute shipboard maintenance and preservation tasks
• Perform slinging, rigging, and load handling operations
• Maintain safety, housekeeping and pollution control on deck
• Direct loads with hand signals and radio communications
• Report defects, incidents and maintain equipment integrity
