Job summary

TU Delft invites applications for a Junior Researcher to contribute to offshore geotechnics, focusing on installation, operation and decommissioning of offshore foundations such as monopiles and suction caissons.

You will support ongoing projects, perform literature reviews, data analysis and modelling, and collaborate with academic staff and partners in a growing international research environment.

Qualifications

• MSc in civil engineering, geotechnical or offshore engineering.
• Interest in offshore wind foundations and offshore geotechnical engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with data analysis, numerical modelling or programming (MATLAB/Python).
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a research team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews and data processing.
• Support numerical modelling and analytical research.
• Assist with laboratory or centrifuge testing.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports and presentations.
• Contribute to scientific publications.
