• Preparation of tender documents for plant security components.
• Conducting discussions and representing concepts to stakeholders.
• Accompaniment of factory inspections and certifications.

About The Role

As a Project Engineer you will report to the Supervisor Engineering and be located at Mannheim.

Key Responsibilities

• Creation of backup analyses and higher-level security concepts
• Preparation of technical security concepts for nuclear and other facilities in need of protection (facilities for site and building security, fire, intrusion alarm and hazard alarm systems, access control systems, video systems, telecommunications and intercom systems) as well as the associated concepts in the field of IT security (SEWD-IT)
• Preparation and/or review of application documents for supervisory procedures and approval procedures
• Handling, implementation and management of plant safety projects, taking into account quality, deadlines and costs
• Quotation preparation and processing
• Advising and supporting customers in the nuclear regulatory and licensing process
• Preparation of tender documents and specifications for components and systems of plant security
• Conducting discussions and representing the concepts and results in front of customers, suppliers, experts and authorities
• Accompaniment of factory inspections, commissioning and acceptance with customers, suppliers and experts
  
  

Qualifications

• Successfully completed engineering studies in the fields of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering or computer science
• Sound professional experience in the field of nuclear technology or comparable experience of similar quality with a focus on plant security and SEWD IT
• In-depth knowledge of safety and security technology products for nuclear facilities
• Basic knowledge and initial experience in project management
• Independent and efficient way of working
• High communication skills
• Very good written and spoken English skills
• Confident handling of MS Office, ideally experience with MS Project and programming (e.g. S7)
• High willingness to travel
