Job summary

HE Space Operations is seeking an experienced network/security operations engineer to join the Galileo project team in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. You will patch hardware, monitor systems, and replace HW elements to ensure mission-critical availability.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor’s in computer science and at least five years’ Linux security/ops experience, with English fluency required and additional European language skills a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• At least five years of experience in Linux-based security systems development.
• Operational experience as a network/security operations engineer.
• Configuration of network equipment and maintenance of HW elements (patching, firmware upgrades, etc.).
• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is a plus.

Job Description

As a member of a team providing services to EUSPA for Galileo global satellite navigation system, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Patching of HW elements;
• System monitoring;
• Replacement of HW elements;
• CSM operational related activities

Qualifications

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related;
• At least five years of experience in all the following areas: Linux based security systems development;
• Operational experience as network/security operations engineer;
• Configuration of network equipment’s o Maintenance of HW elements (patching, firmware upgrade, etc.);
• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
