The Team: Network Engineering

The Network Engineering team is at the heart of our global operations, responsible for defining and maintaining our network standards and platforms worldwide. This team is crucial for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our extensive network infrastructure. By designing and building new functionalities, identifying vital improvements, and leading various projects, the team directly impacts our business's ability to operate efficiently, support digital transformation, and connect our global enterprise.

Role Summary

As a Network Engineer, you will be empowering our global operations through robust and innovative network solutions. This role is vital in ensuring the seamless connectivity and high performance of our extensive network infrastructure, directly supporting our business, and enabling our digital strategic growth. You will be instrumental in evolving our network capabilities during a significant period of merger-related change and technological advancement.

Key Role Responsibilities

You will be doing:

  • Investigating new solutions and advanced functionalities within existing network technologies.
  • Preparing and executing PoCs, pilot programs, and comprehensive testing.
  • Providing Subject Matter Expertise for specific network services, guiding best practices and solutions.
  • Offering third-line support for complex network incidents, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal disruption.
  • Taking ownership of non-standard changes, guiding them through all phases of the process to maintain network integrity.
  • Creating and reviewing network designs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and operational procedures in line with our stringent networking standards.
  • Collaborating closely with external vendors and internal teams to maintain stable and cutting-edge networking platforms.
  • Identifying and leading improvement initiatives to enhance network performance, security, and efficiency.
  • Participating actively in a variety of key projects, contributing your expertise to achieve strategic business objectives.

Essential Qualifications
  • Advanced experience with large-scale networks and complex IP environments.
  • Knowledge of Wireless technologies, including ISE integration and RF design principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of Cisco Routing and Switching.
  • Advanced experience in using Catalyst Center for templating and automation.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex enterprise network infrastructures.
  • A strong character to ensure the implementation of secure and stable solutions.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Business English, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse functions and teams.

We embrace a flexible and hybrid working model, balancing remote work with regular attendance at our office in The Netherlands (Breda).
