Job summary

Levy NL is seeking a Network Automation Engineer for a Dutch ministry to design and grow automation of a large, secure IT network. The role is fully on-site in Zoetermeer, with a 36-hour workweek and employment through Levy Professionals.

You will design scripts and Ansible playbooks, integrate automation into CI/CD workflows, and advise on the automation framework and deployment approach. Start is January 2027 after security screening, with collaboration across engineers and project teams.

Qualifications

• CCNA or CCNA Automation certifications required.
• Strong Python and Linux skills.
• Experience setting up a complete automation framework (Ansible, GitLab, NetBox).
• Solid IP networking knowledge with monitoring basics.

Do you like automating work away until network engineers get it out of the box? A Dutch ministry is looking for a Network Automation Engineer to build and grow the automation of a large, secure IT network.

What you'll do

• Design and build scripts and Ansible playbooks that configure and manage the network automatically
• Put that automation into CI/CD workflows so administrators can use it straight away
• Advise on the automation framework, orchestration and deployment approach
• Test your solutions and roll them out together with network engineers and project teams

What you bring

• CCNA and CCNA Automation, or equivalent certifications
• Solid Python and Linux skills
• Proven experience as a Network Automation Engineer setting up a complete automation framework (e.g. Ansible, GitLab, NetBox)
• Good knowledge of IP networking and protocols, plus monitoring and logging basics
• CCNP Automation or public-sector experience is a plus
