Job summary

Canon Production Printing is offering an MSc internship in Mechanical Engineering focused on the calibration of a high-precision registration unit in a print system. You will study tolerances and kinematics, improve calibration methods and develop an automated approach.

You will implement and test your design using MATLAB/Simulink and demonstrate its performance in a real-life test setup in Venlo, the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• Pursuing MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or related discipline.
• Interest in precision mechanics, dynamics and mechatronic system design.
• Experience with modelling, calculations and preferably simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Gain insight into tolerances and kinematics of the registration unit.
• Improve calibration procedure and develop automated calibration approach.
• Implement and test design in MATLAB/Simulink and demonstrate performance in a real-life setup.
