Job summary

MVRDV invites a full‑time modelmaker intern to join the Fabrications workshop in Rotterdam from March 1 to August 31, 2027. You will create physical architectural models and prepare files for 3D printing, contributing to design reviews and client presentations.

The role requires hands‑on craftsmanship, strong CAD/Rhino skills, and a collaborative mindset. Enrolled students only, with internship compensation and travel support provided.

Qualifications

• Seeking candidates with hands-on model making and refined craftsmanship.
• Solid design sense and ability to translate concepts into physical models.
• Proficiency in Rhino and CAD software required or strongly preferred.
• Experience with 3D printing and workshop tools is advantageous.
• Strong teamwork, detail orientation, and curiosity about architecture.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate high‑quality physical models for final presentations.
• Prepare files for 3D printing and assist with post‑processing.
• Support workshop colleagues and help with deliverables as needed.
• Adapt models to design updates and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with Fabrications teammates on day‑to‑day tasks.
