Job summary

CK Talent is seeking junior maintenance technicians for a fixed 2-year contract in the Netherlands. You will maintain production machinery, troubleshoot faults, and support continuous operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires mechanical and electrical expertise, PLC reading, and experience with hydraulics and pneumatics. Relocation assistance, Dutch language classes, and technical training are provided to help you integrate.

Qualifications

• Red Seal (Trade Test), N5 or N6 qualification.
• 3–7 years of experience in production/manufacturing (food, agriculture or industry).
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Experience with fault finding and PLC reading.
• Hands-on hydraulics and pneumatics maintenance.
• Experience with preventative maintenance on production lines.
• Fluent in Afrikaans.

We are looking for junior maintenance technicians with experience in a production environment who are ready to take the next step in their career in the Netherlands. In this role, you’ll work on industrial machines, solve technical issues, and keep production lines running smoothly.

What will you do?

• Perform both mechanical and electrical maintenance on production machinery
• Troubleshoot and resolve faults in machines, installations and production lines
• Work with systems such as conveyors, motors, relays and frequency drives
• Carry out preventative maintenance to reduce downtime
• PLC fault finding
• Work with hydraulics, pneumatics
• Support technical improvements and installations on-site
• Work in shifts within a structured production environment

What do you bring?

• A Red Seal (Trade Test), N5 or N6 qualification
• 3–7 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment (food, agriculture or industry)
• Strong all-round technical skills (mechanical + electrical)
• Experience with fault finding and PLC reading
• Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and general machine maintenance
• Experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on machines in a production line;
• Fluent in Afrikaans

• A fixed 2-year contract (40 hours per week), with the prospect of a permanent position
• A salary around €4,300 gross per month, depending on your experience
