Job summary

Ockto, based in Naarden, is seeking a backend engineer to design, build and maintain cloud-native services powering our secure data sharing platform.

You will work with TypeScript and .NET Core in a high-security context, in cross-functional teams that value ownership, DevOps, and continuous delivery. A hybrid role in the Netherlands is offered with a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Several years of TypeScript backend experience.
• Extensive AWS Serverless experience.
• Strong understanding of architecture & design patterns.
• Strong data- and software security understanding.
• Proven Scrum experience and ability to deliver.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud-native backend services powering the Ockto platform.
• Contribute to scalable architecture using TypeScript (Node.js) and .NET Core in a high-security context.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams with DevOps practices and shared ownership.

About yourself

Who you are:

• Committed towards continuous delivery and DevOps.

• Enjoys coaching more junior members of an engineering team.
• Fluent in English and (eager to learn) Dutch.

What are we looking for?

• A relevant bachelor’s degree.
• Multiple years experience as a TypeScript backend engineer.
• Extenseive experience with Amazon Web Services (Cloud), particularly in Serverless methodologies.
• Has an excellent understanding of architecting principles and software design patterns.
• Has an excellent understanding of data- and software security.
• Demonstrably strong results in a Scrum working environment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and initiative.
• Great communication skills.
• Already living in the Netherlands (hybrid role)

Will be a plus

• A relevant master’s degree.
• AWS certifications and/or demonstrable AWS experience
• Expertise in the financial services domain
