Job summary

EIC (Experience Internship Canada) is seeking a Public Relations Intern – Media Relations & Communications to support visibility and public relations with media and stakeholders in Amsterdam.

You will contribute to messaging, media relations and coordination of public communications, gaining practical experience in a collaborative, international environment. The internship is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with supervision to guide priorities and growth.

Qualifications

• You are studying public relations, communications, journalism or international relations.
• You write well and can summarize a topic clearly.
• You are interested in media and how organizations develop their messaging.
• You are organized, tactful and attentive to the accuracy of published information.
• You are comfortable communicating in English. French is an asset for collaboration with French-speaking colleagues and audiences.

Responsibilities

• Map media outlets, journalists and relevant voices for our topics.
• Prepare talking points and presentations with the communications team.
• Draft story pitches and prepare media outreach.
• Contribute to press releases, media kits and biographies.
• Organize interviews and prepare information for spokespeople.
• Track coverage, mentions and topics relevant to EIC.
• Support invitations and communication with stakeholders.
• Review coverage and suggest improvements to communications activities.
