Job summary

U-People zoekt een Mechanical Engineer om mechanische ontwerpen te maken voor maatwerk machines en technische installaties in Bergen op Zoom. Je vertaalt specificaties naar praktische, manufacturably designs en werkt dit uit in 3D CAD met BOMs en documentatie.

Je blijft betrokken bij het ontwerp tot productie en lost technische issues samen met productiecollega’s op. Vereist is een MBO+/HBO niveau en ervaring met 3D CAD zoals Inventor of SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• MBO+/HBO niveau in werktuigbouwkunde of equivalenter technisch vak.
• Ervaring als Mechanical Engineer/Mechanical Design Engineer/Design Engineer.
• Ervaring met 3D CAD, bij voorkeur Autodesk Inventor of SolidWorks.
• Kennis van mechanische systemen en constructies.

Responsibilities

• Ontwerpen van mechanische concepten in 3D CAD en uitwerking in detailtekeningen.
• Analyseren van specificaties en vertalen naar praktische ontwerpen.
• Uitvoeren van technische berekeningen en selecteren van componenten/materialen.
• Opstellen van BOMs en bijbehorende documentatie.
• Coördineren van ontwerpen met engineering, projectteams en productie.
• Ondersteunen van productie met technische- en mechanische vragen.
• Identificeren van technische risico's en verbetering- kansen.

For this position, a reasonable level of proficiency in the Dutch language is required. From the first concept to the final product: you actually see your design being built. As a Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer, you work on custom-built machines and technical installations. You translate technical requirements into smart, practical designs and stay involved until your engineering actually comes to life in production.

Function

As a Mechanical Engineer, you work on the mechanical design of custom-built machines and technical installations. You translate specifications and technical requirements into practical and manufacturable solutions, develop these in 3D CAD and prepare the corresponding drawings, bills of materials and technical documentation. Because engineering and production work closely together, you remain involved with your design and can directly solve technical issues together with colleagues from production.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop mechanical concepts into 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings
• Analyse technical specifications and translate them into practical design and engineering solutions
• Perform technical calculations and select components and materials
• Prepare bills of materials (BOMs) and related technical documentation
• Coordinate designs with engineering, project teams and production
• Support production with technical and mechanical questions
• Identify technical risks, deviations and opportunities for improvement

Requirements

• MBO+/HBO level in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical field
