Job summary

ThePhoneLab in Amsterdam offers a Marketing Internship to explore the broad world of marketing beyond writing and SEO. You’ll engage in video, photography, strategy, and social content while shaping the internship to your strengths.

You’ll work with our marketing specialists, developing your own ideas and contributing to blogs, landing pages, and campaigns. This role requires enrollment in a relevant program and a commitment of at least 3 months.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an MBO, HBO, or WO program in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, or a related field.
• Available for internship of at least 3 months.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken; German a plus.
• Basic knowledge of SEO and online marketing.
• Creative, eager to learn, and results-driven.

Responsibilities

• Content creation: blogs, web texts, social posts, photos and videos.
• Creative campaigns: brainstorm and execute campaigns and strategies.
• SEO & web optimization: research keywords and optimize content.
• Social media: posts, productions, and growing online community.
• Analysis & reporting: analyze traffic, measure results, learn from data.
• Collaboration & networking: work with colleagues, partners, and external parties.

ThePhoneLab knows everything about smartphones, tablets, and laptops! From hardware to software, and from repair to protection and prevention. We love technology and enjoy working with our hands. Is your device broken? We'll fix it. Expertly, quickly, right in the store - with or without an appointment.

But we do more than just repairs. Our mission is to extend the lifespan of mobile devices and reduce e-waste. By making repairs accessible and efficient, we aim to counter the throwaway culture in the tech industry.

What will you do during your marketing internship?

As a Marketing Intern at ThePhoneLab, you'll get the chance to truly experience the wide world of marketing. You'll play an important role in making our brand visible, reaching our audience, and telling our story. This can be through blogs, landing pages, and social posts, but just as much through videos, photography, campaigns, or creative concepts - depending on where your talents lie.

You'll work closely with our marketing specialists and have the freedom to develop your own ideas. During your internship, you could be involved in:

• Content creation: writing blogs, web texts, and social posts, as well as producing photos and videos.

• Creative campaigns: brainstorming and executing original campaigns and strategies to make ThePhoneLab even stronger in the market.

• SEO & web optimization: researching relevant keywords and trends, and optimizing content for search engines.

• Social media: creating posts, contributing to productions, and helping grow our online community.

• Analysis & reporting: analyzing (web) traffic, measuring results, and learning how data can improve marketing.

• Collaboration & networking: working with colleagues, partners, and external parties to strengthen our content strategy.

What do we expect from you during your internship?

You are currently enrolled in an MBO, HBO, or WO program in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, or a related field.

You are available for an internship of at least 3 months.

You have basic knowledge of SEO and online marketing.

You are creative, eager to learn, and results-driven.

Experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe, WordPress, etc. is a plus.

You can work both independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of and affinity with (repairing) phones, tablets, and computers is a plus!
