Job summary

The Swim Academy in Amsterdam is seeking a Marketing, Content & Growth Intern to help build our premium adult swimming brand. You’ll work directly with the founder and gain real responsibility in a fast-growing startup.

You’ll create video content, manage social media, plan calendars, and support growth initiatives while learning branding, marketing and community building.

Qualifications

• Creative and capable of producing engaging content for social platforms.
• Experience editing videos and producing professional social media posts.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and self-starting mindset.
• Interest in AI tools and experimentation with new ideas in a startup.

Responsibilities

• Film and edit swimming lessons and behind-the-scenes content.
• Create engaging Instagram Reels and TikTok videos.
• Take professional photos during lessons and organize the content library.
• Help strengthen our visual brand and social media strategy.
• Plan content calendars and support website updates/SEO.
• Develop email and referral campaigns and assist partnerships.

Help build one of Amsterdam’s leading premium adult swimming academies.

At The Swim Academy, we believe swimming is more than a life skill—it’s a lifelong investment in health, confidence, and performance.

We provide high-quality swimming lessons for adults at premium fitness clubs across Amsterdam. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for our first Marketing, Content & Growth Intern to help build our brand and reach even more people.

This is not a traditional marketing internship. You’ll work directly with the founder and play an active role in growing a young, ambitious company.

What you’ll be doing

Content Creation

• Film and edit swimming lessons and behind-the-scenes content
• Create engaging Instagram Reels and TikTok videos
• Take professional photos during lessons
• Build and organise our content library
• Help strengthen our visual brand

Marketing

• Manage and improve our social media strategy
• Plan and create content calendars
• Support website improvements and SEO
• Collect testimonials and customer stories
• Research trends and competitors

Growth

• Help improve email marketing campaigns
• Develop referral campaigns
• Support partnership marketing with premium fitness clubs
• Think of creative marketing experiments
• Help build our community

Who we’re looking for

You are someone who:

• Studies at HBO or university level
• Is creative and enjoys creating content
• Knows how to edit videos and use social media professionally
• Has strong communication skills in English
• Likes working with AI tools such as ChatGPT
• Takes initiative instead of waiting for instructions
• Wants to gain experience in a fast-growing startup environment
