203 Damen Schelde Marine Services is seeking a technically minded mechanic to learn and work on ship diesel engines. You will alternate between workshop and on-board assignments across Europe, gaining hands-on experience with maintenance, inspection, and overhaul projects.

Ideal candidates have a technical education, a practical mindset, and a willingness to travel for projects, with Dutch and English language skills and a driving license. Opportunities for training and career growth are offered.

Formación

• MBO level 3/4 in a technical direction or equivalent.
• Affinity with diesel engines and heavy mechanical installations.
• Practical mindset and willingness to learn.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and inspect ship diesel engines in the workshop.
• Dismantle, inspect, and assemble engine parts.
• Take measurements and record technical findings.
• Diagnose faults and assist colleagues in solving them.
• Contribute to workshop and on-board overhaul projects.
• Prepare service reports and follow high safety standards.
