Job summary

Avantor in Hillegom, Netherlands is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Specialist to optimize our manufacturing operations. You will oversee end-to-end processes, ensure documentation is clear, and drive improvements across production lines to achieve compliance and efficiency.

The role emphasizes creating batch record templates, collaborating with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams, and applying Lean Six Sigma to reduce waste and enhance quality in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production, operations, or process engineering.
• Experience with technical documentation, work instructions, or manufacturing procedures.
• Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence knowledge is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Create and improve manufacturing documentation and work instructions.
• Support daily manufacturing operations and help resolve operational challenges.
• Work closely with the Production Supervisor and cleanroom teams to assess and improve production processes.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
• Analyze production workflows and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Support the development and implementation of tooling and production aids.
• Drive improvements related to technology, ergonomics, quality and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering and other cross-functional teams.
• Support training activities and help establish best practices across the department.
