Job summary

Orion Engineering is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a background in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering to improve production processes and ensure quality and efficiency as we move from development to manufacturing.

You will create and maintain manufacturing processes, collaborate with Manufacturing, R&D and Quality to establish first-time-right processes, and lead changes related to products, components and production methods, including process validation and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering.
• Results-driven with strong focus on quality.
• Experience in multidisciplinary (global) projects.
• Ability to collaborate across functions to achieve results.
• Good command of English; Dutch is a plus.

• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, R&D and Quality to establish first-time-right processes.
• Prepare and introduce changes related to products, components and production processes.
• Define, execute and document process validation activities, including validation runs and first production models.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams (such as supply chain, design and purchasing) and introduce new production methods.

Do you have a background in Electronics, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering and experience with manufacturability? Are you looking to play a key role in improving production processes within a multidisciplinary environment?

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you contribute to the transition from development to manufacturing and focus on improving production processes, quality and efficiency.

What you will do

• Create and maintain manufacturing processes, including work instructions, tooling and training
• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, R&D and Quality to establish first-time-right processes
• Prepare and introduce changes related to products, components and production processes
• Define, execute and document process validation activities, including validation runs and first production models
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams (such as supply chain, design and purchasing) and introduce new production methods

Work environment

You will work in a:

• Multidisciplinary environment involving Manufacturing, R&D, Quality and other functions
• Role focused on the transition from development to manufacturing
• Setting where process improvement, quality and manufacturability are key

What you bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering
• A results-driven mindset with a strong focus on quality
• Experience working in or contributing to multidisciplinary (global) projects
• Ability to collaborate across different functions to achieve results
• Good command of the English language; Dutch is a plus

Preferred:

• Experience with creating Quality Management System (QMS) procedures
