Job summary

Heppner in the Netherlands is seeking a Quality & Safety Manager to keep our quality and safety system up to date across both Brabant branches (Gilze and Oosterhout).

You will lead audits and certifications, drive improvements, and support management on risk, compliance, and KPI reporting.

This role suits an independent professional with strong analytical skills, fluent Dutch and English, and a proactive, structured mindset.

Qualifications

• Completed higher professional education, preferably in Quality, Safety, Logistics, or similar.
• Experience in quality and/or safety management, preferably in a logistics environment.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, TAPA, FSSC 22000, SQAS, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with audits, certifications, and risk management.
• Experience with KPI analysis and management reporting.
• Good communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Structured, accurate, and proactive way of working.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve the quality and safety management system.
• Prepare, coordinate, and guide internal and external audits.
• Maintain and obtain certifications such as ISO, TAPA, FSSC 22000, SQAS, and Ecovadis.
• Conduct internal audits, safety inspections, and RI&E.
• Analyzing incidents, near-misses, and KPIs, and initiating improvement measures.
• Developing and implementing procedures, work instructions, and safety standards.
• Advising management on risks, compliance, and process improvements.
• Providing training and increasing safety and quality awareness within the organization.
• Preparing reports for management, directors, and clients.

What will you be doing?

As a Quality & Safety Manager, you'll be in charge of keeping our quality and safety management system up-to-date, improving it, and taking it to the next level. You'll make sure our company meets all relevant laws, regulations, and certification standards. Plus, you'll be a key sounding board for management and colleagues on quality, safety, and compliance issues. You do this for both branches in North Brabant (Gilze and Oosterhout).

Your tasks will include things like:

• Managing and continuously improving the quality and safety management system.

In addition, you have:

• Experience in quality and/or safety management, preferably in a logistics environment.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, TAPA, FSSC 22000, SQAS, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of Microsoft/ Excel.
• Experience with audits, certifications, and risk management.
• Experience with KPI analysis and management reporting.
• Good communication skills in both Dutch and English.
• A structured, accurate, and proactive way of working.
