Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and hands‑on Maintenance Technician to support the reliability, performance, and continuity of our production equipment and technical installations. In this role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within our production environment. You will play a key role in minimizing downtime, optimizing machine performance, and ensuring safe and efficient operations across the facility. In addition to daily maintenance activities, you will support technical improvement projects, assist with the implementation of new equipment, and contribute to the further professionalization of maintenance processes. About the Team
You will become part of our Maintenance team within the Operations department at DeRegt Marine Cables in Krimpen aan de Lek, the Netherlands. The team consists of skilled maintenance professionals who are responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and continuity of our production equipment and technical installations. We work closely together with Production, Engineering, Quality, and HSE to minimize downtime, improve machine performance, and support the continued growth and innovation of our manufacturing processes. Collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement are central within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machines, technical installations, and equipment
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic malfunctions
- Analyze recurring technical issues and contribute to Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Advise on maintenance strategies, machine reliability, and technical optimisations
- Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machines and technical systems
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and inspection records within Ultimo
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, HSE, and external suppliers to deliver technical solutions
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental procedures and actively contribute to a safe working environment
- Support the standardization of maintenance procedures and work instructions
- Act as backup for the Teamleader Maintenance when required
Key Responsibilities
- Uitvoeren van preventief en correctief onderhoud aan productiemachines, installaties en technische voorzieningen
- Lokaliseren en oplossen van complexe mechanische, elektrische, pneumatische en hydraulische storingen
- Analyseren van terugkerende technische problemen en bijdragen aan Root Cause Analyses en verbeterinitiatieven
- Adviseren over onderhoudsstrategieën, machinebetrouwbaarheid en technische optimalisaties
- Ondersteunen bij de installatie, het testen en inbedrijfstellen van nieuwe machines en installaties
- Vastleggen van onderhoudswerkzaamheden en inspectieresultaten in Ultimo
- Samenwerken met Production, Engineering, Quality, HSE en externe leveranciers om technische oplossingen te realiseren
- Werken volgens veiligheids-, kwaliteits- en milieuprocedures en actief bijdragen aan een veilige werkomgeving
- Ondersteunen bij het standaardiseren van maintenance-processen en werkinstructies
- Fungeren als back‑up voor de Teamleader Maintenance wanneer nodig
Qualifications
- Required: MBO Level 4 degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance or technical service role within a production environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex technical malfunctions
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and maintenance documentation
- Experience with PLC‑controlled systems and industrial automation
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and maintenance management systems
- Strong communication skills with a proactive and solution‑oriented mindset
- Willingness to participate in standby and on‑call services
- Good command of the Dutch language and basic technical English skills
- Preferred: Experience with Ultimo or similar maintenance management systems
- Knowledge of PLC diagnostics and support with programming modifications
- Experience with TIG, CO₂, or electrode welding
- Experience with machining activities such as turning and milling
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and Root Cause Analysis methodologies
- Experience within an industrial manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of NEN3140 and NEN1010 standards
Qualifications
- Required: MBO niveau 4 diploma richting Elektrotechniek, Mechatronica of een vergelijkbare technische opleiding
- Minimaal 5 jaar ervaring binnen een maintenance- of technische servicefunctie in een productieomgeving
- Sterke kennis van mechanische, elektrische, pneumatische en hydraulische systemen
- Ervaring met het analyseren en oplossen van complexe storingen
- In staat technische tekeningen, elektrische schema’s en documentatie te lezen en interpreteren
- Ervaring met PLC‑gestuurde systemen en industriële automatisering
- Bekend met preventieve onderhoudsprogramma’s en maintenance managementsystemen
- Goede communicatieve vaardigheden en een proactieve, oplossingsgerichte werkhouding
- Bereidheid om consignatiediensten te draaien
- Goede beheersing van de Nederlandse taal en basiskennis van Engels
- Preferred: Ervaring met Ultimo of vergelijkbare maintenance management systemen
- Kennis van PLC‑diagnostiek en ondersteuning bij programmeringsaanpassingen
- Ervaring met TIG-, CO₂- of elektrode lassen
- Ervaring met draai- en freeswerkzaamheden
- Kennis van continuous improvement en Root Cause Analysis methodieken
- Ervaring binnen een industriële productieomgeving
- Kennis van NEN3140- en NEN1010‑normen
