Job summary

Picnic Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our automated fulfilment center in Ridderkerk. You will lead a shift of Technicians to keep 24/7 operations safe, reliable, and efficient, driving maintenance planning and continuous improvement while coordinating with Operations and external partners.

You bring a hands-on, technical mindset, with a background in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics and 10+ years in maintenance roles, including leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Requires MBO-4 or HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in a technical or maintenance environment, preferably automated/logistics/manufacturing.
• At least 3 years in Lead, Team Lead, Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
• Hands-on mindset with understanding of technical and operational maintenance aspects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach Shift Technicians in a 24/7 environment.
• Maintain safety, structure, and cleanliness of workshop and work area.
• Monitor planning, progress, and quality of the maintenance plan.
• Manage workforce planning and support Technician development.
• Handle critical breakdowns and prioritize with Operations.
• Drive continuous improvement with Lean, 5S, and data-driven maintenance.
• Coordinate daily with Operations, Engineers, and external partners.

Your impact

Lead & coach your team:Provide daily leadership to all Shift Technicians working in a 24/7 environment.

Ensure safety & structure:Keep the workshop and working environment safe, clean, and well organized.

Manage maintenance operations:Monitor the planning, progress, and quality of the maintenance plan.

Team management & performance:Manage workforce planning and support the development of all Technicians.

Manage critical breakdowns:Ensure Technicians set the right priorities and maintain effective collaboration with Operations.

Drive continuous improvement:Identify opportunities for improvement and promote Lean, 5S, and data-driven maintenance.

Collaborate:Coordinate daily with Operations, Engineers, and external maintenance partners.

About you

You have an MBO-4 or HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar technical field.

You have 10+ years of experience in a technical or maintenance environment, preferably within an automated, logistics, or manufacturing environment.

You have at least 3 years of experience as a Lead, Team Lead, Supervisor, or in a similar leadership role.

You have a practical, hands-on mindset and understand both the technical and operational aspects of maintenance.

You have experience with CMMS or EAM systems; knowledge of ICS/SCADA tools is a plus.
