Job summary

Major Dutch Airline is seeking a Medior/Senior Machine Learning Engineer to productionize ML models on Google Cloud Platform and build scalable ML infrastructure. You will develop LLM and RAG solutions for real operational use, with a hybrid work model and 1–2 days per week at the office near Schiphol.

You should have 4+ years in ML Engineering/MLOps or software development, strong Python skills, and experience deploying models in production.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in ML Engineering, MLOps or Software Development.
• Strong Python and software engineering skills.
• Proven experience deploying and maintaining ML models in production.
• Experience with cloud-based ML (GCP preferred), Docker, SQL, REST APIs and Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and RAG.

Responsibilities

• Productionise ML models and integrate them into operational systems, end to end from data preparation to deployment, monitoring and retraining.
• Build and improve scalable ML infrastructure on GCP.
• Develop and deploy LLM and RAG solutions for production use.
• Apply strong engineering practices including testing, CI/CD, Git and code reviews.

Medior/Senior Machine Learning Engineer (MLOps, GCP, GenAI) | Production AI That Keeps Flights Moving | Major Dutch Airline

A major Dutch airline is expanding its AI team within Operations and is looking for a Medior/Senior Machine Learning Engineer. You will turn ML and GenAI models into production-ready products on Google Cloud Platform, powering critical processes such as flight operations, workforce planning, meal planning and delay optimisation. Your work will have a direct, visible impact on how one of Europe's best-known airlines operates every day.

About the role

You will join a multidisciplinary team of ML Engineers, Data Scientists and Product Owners, taking models from development into reliable, scalable production systems and building LLM and RAG solutions for real operational use. The role is hybrid, with 1 to 2 days per week at the office near Schiphol.

You will:
