Introdução

While most people are asleep, the warehouse comes fully to life. A customer on the other side of the world has ordered new darts products, and you make sure that exactly the right items are picked. Scanner in hand, cart in front of you, and off you go.

For a large international organization in Veldhoven, we are looking for a Night Shift Logistics Employee who enjoys staying active and getting things done.

What started in 2014 in the attic room of two darts enthusiasts has since grown into Europe’s largest online darts retailer. From Veldhoven, orders are shipped every day to darts players in the Netherlands and abroad. With local webshops in several European countries as well as international webshops, the organization now serves customers across Europe and beyond.

Behind all these orders is a team of around 200 employees, working across departments such as logistics, customer service, purchasing, content, marketing, and technology. Every day, the warehouse team works hard to ensure that the extensive range of products reaches customers quickly. Especially during the busy darts season, this means rolling up your sleeves and working together to make sure all orders are shipped on time.

Função

As a Night Shift Logistics Employee, you make sure that online orders are picked correctly and prepared for shipment. You start with a cart that allows you to pick several orders at the same time. Using a scanner, you can see exactly which aisle and location you need to go to in order to pick the right item.

You then scan each product using a small device worn on your finger. Accidentally picked the wrong item? The system will let you know straight away. This ensures that every customer receives exactly what they ordered. Once all the orders on your cart are complete, your colleagues can prepare them for shipment while you move on to the next round.

You’ll work as part of a close-knit logistics team under the guidance of a Team Leader. Many of the products in the warehouse are small and lightweight, so the job is mainly about picking accurately, keeping up a good pace, and making sure every order ends up in the right place. When you start, you’ll of course receive clear instructions on how the work and systems operate.

• You can communicate well in English. This is required due to workplace instructions and safety regulations;
• You preferably have an MBO level 3 working and thinking level, or equivalent;
• Previous experience in logistics is a plus, but not required;
• A reach truck certificate is an advantage;
• You are available to work 40 hours per week;
• You are able to work night shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
