Introduction

The first trucks have only just arrived, and the returns process is already in full swing. Crates are being sorted, empty bottles are being processed, and roll containers are being moved to the correct locations. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Organization

The organization plays a crucial role in the returns process for a major supermarket chain. Every day, they process returns from stores across the southern Netherlands and Belgium, ranging from empty bottles to crates. Everything is brought together at one central distribution center, where efficiency and reuse are key priorities.

Function

As a Logistics Employee, you will work in one of the various departments within the distribution center. In the beer department, you'll be responsible for sorting incoming beer crates, as physical exertion is a significant part of the job. In the PET department, you'll process bags of empty bottles that are emptied into the counting machine. You may also be assigned to Dock 1 or Dock 2, where trucks are unloaded and roll containers are sorted. Additionally, there are opportunities to work in the SWI department, where crates are sorted and cleaned for reuse.

No matter your assignment, your work directly contributes to an efficient returns process. You will work alongside your colleagues in a three-shift operation, ensuring daily logistics activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Job Requirements

What do we expect from you?

• Physically fit and comfortable performing active, hands-on work.;
• You are willing to work a rotating three-shift schedule from Monday to Sunday, according to the roster.;
• Business hours:
  06:00 - 15:00
  14:45 - 23:45
• You have a good command of Dutch and/or English.;
• You are comfortable working in an environment where returned goods are processed.
