Job summary

Lokaal Werkt is hiring for a logistics employee to load and unload trucks with an EPT, sort goods, label items, and ensure correct placement in racking locations. Depending on experience, forklift operation may be required.

The role involves working in refrigerated transport environments and a focus on safety and accuracy. You will work 36–40 hours per week in a full-time position, with shifts that may include evenings and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in logistics.
• Ability to operate an EPT.
• Experience with cross-docking is a big advantage.
• You speak English and/or Dutch well enough to communicate with colleagues.

For an international logistics company specializing in refrigerated and frozen transport, we are looking for an experienced logistics employee. You’ll work in a busy environment where speed matters, but safety and accuracy come first.

Functieomschrijving

Most of your day will be spent loading and unloading trucks using an EPT. You will also sort incoming goods, apply labels and make sure products are placed in the correct location. Depending on your experience, you may also operate a forklift.

Because the company transports refrigerated products, you will mainly work in an environment of approximately 2–4°C. Occasionally, you may need to enter the freezer. Proper protective clothing will of course be provided.

You will also help keep the workplace clean, safe and organised.

Working hours

You will work 36 to 40 hours per week, spread over five days between Monday and Saturday.

Initially, your working hours will mainly be Monday to Friday from 13:30 until approximately 20:00–22:00. On Saturdays, you work from 08:00 until approximately 17:00–20:00.

In the future, the company may switch to a two-shift schedule between 06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 23:00

Functie-eisen

You have at least one year of experience in logistics and are comfortable working with an EPT. Experience in cross-docking is a big advantage. You work accurately, don’t mind a physical job and can handle a colder working environment. You are able to work independently, but you also know how to work as part of a team. You speak English and/or Dutch well enough to communicate safely with your colleagues.
