The Netherlands eScience Center in Amsterdam is seeking a Research Software Engineer for Life Sciences to join a multidisciplinary team and contribute to innovative research software projects.

You will work on 2–3 projects, split between our Amsterdam office, project sites across the Netherlands, and remote work, with a strong emphasis on software quality, reproducibility, and collaboration with researchers.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent and strong credentials in academic research.
• Experience in academic research and development of research software, methodologies, or open-source frameworks for research purposes.

Responsibilities

• Work on 2–3 projects simultaneously with a multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to research software across disciplines and maintain code quality.
• Collaborate with researchers across universities and project sites in the Netherlands.
