Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Legal Counsel to join the Europe Legal team, supporting business activities across the Netherlands and BeNeLux. You will lead contract reviews and negotiations for IT/outsourcing, digital and software agreements, while providing practical legal advice in employment, corporate and compliance matters.

Tata Consultancy Services has an exciting opportunity for a Legal Counsel to join the Europe Legal team and support TCS business teams across a broad range of legal topics. Our new colleague will join a talented, innovative and diverse team of legal counsels and contract managers in Europe. You will be mainly responsible for the negotiation and review of IT/outsourcing, digital and software contracts in the private and public sector with a focus on supporting business activities in the Netherlands and BeNeLux. On a need basis, you will also be involved in transactions elsewhere in Europe. You will lead contract reviews and negotiations during a competitive tender process and also in the context of existing customer engagements. While the focus of the role will be on commercial contracting, you will also provide legal support in other areas, such as in employment law as well as in the context of corporate or compliance matters.

Key Skills and Role Requirements:

• Fully qualified with the Dutch Law
• Approximately 8 to 10 years of relevant experience; a combination of private practice and in-house experience for working at international companies will be preferred.
• Experience in the field of IT outsourcing, “digital” offerings, IP, software licensing and data privacy.
• Experience with Public Procurement is preferred.
• Excellent communication and drafting skills in Dutch and English language.
• Ability and mindset to work as a business partner and combine legal expertise with practical advice.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel within the company, clients, and vendors.
• Intercultural sensitivity and interest to work in a diverse environment.
• Staying curious eagerness to continue learning.
