Job summary

Madison People International is seeking an experienced Lead Project Engineer – Offshore Cables to take technical ownership of complex offshore cable projects. You will lead engineering, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and liaise with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure safe, efficient offshore execution.

The role involves translating project requirements into practical installation concepts, reviewing technical deliverables and supporting vessel and equipment selection.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant offshore/subsea project experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex offshore cable projects.
• Strong ability to translate requirements into safe, practical offshore execution.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical preparation and engineering of offshore cable projects.
• Coordinate Project Engineers and specialists and provide technical direction.
• Review engineering deliverables, drawings and documentation for offshore execution.
• Develop practical installation and execution methods with the project team.
• Interface between clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
• Support vessel, tool and equipment selection and application.
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigations prior to offshore work.
• Coordinate technical activities during vessel mobilisation and demobilisation.
• Ensure smooth transition from engineering to offshore execution with on-site teams.
• Assist the Project Manager with technical, planning and commercial considerations.
