Job summary

Qabird is seeking a Lead Internal Auditor to head complex audits across multiple functions and subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with IIA standards and the Institute’s Code of Ethics. You will provide independent assurance to senior management and stakeholders.

You will lead audit planning, execution, reporting, and remediation follow‑ups, mentor junior auditors, and drive continuous improvement in governance, risk, and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, IT, engineering or equivalent.
• CIA, CPA, CISA or CFE certification preferred; relevant Master’s degree is an advantage.
• 10+ years of progressive auditing experience including leading complex audits and teams.
• Experience in governance, risk management, internal controls and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex internal audits, investigations, and special reviews across multiple functions and subsidiaries.
• Develop audit objectives, scope, methodology and resource requirements in line with professional standards.
• Assess governance, risk management and internal control frameworks and identify improvement opportunities.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and present audit findings and recommendations.
• Prepare high-quality audit reports and monitor remediation actions; drive continuous improvement.
